Open your eyes! A Challenge.

December 23, 2008

My post today is going to be about everything I’m thankful for. I know I complain and vent all the time on here, and I feel like you all think I’m just an angry person. (Wait…I am? Maybe?) I challenge that you all take a cue from Mim and remember the good people in your life, there are no guarantees for tomorrow. Let them know now.

So I’m doing my top 10 people of the year in my life and the reason they’re there…

10. The little Irish lady at the bank- No matter what mood I’m in, you’ve come to recognize my face and car. Always in a chipper mood even if you were just cussed out by someone who wants to blame you for the overdraw on their account. Plus, your accent makes me smile anyway.

9. My Step-Father- You treat me as your own even if you didn’t have to. Thanks for everything, I could never ask for more.

8. Stephenie Meyer- Thanks for the books that have introduced us to a little town called Forks et.al. OH and for Rob Pattinson’s reintroduction…most of us females thank you!

7.  My dear blogger friends- We read one another’s triumphs and failures, we laugh and cry together…you all are wonderful. Never forget that.

6. The strange guy who stands on the corner everyday and waves- I’m not sure why you stand out there, but you are there everyday rain or shine. Just smiling and waving. And it’s contagious.

5. My boss- Yes I biotch about things from time to time, but overall I work for a very understanding person.

4. Those who let me down/betrayed me- You’ve made me stronger. Even if at the time I thought my life would crumble into little pieces.

3. Friends- I would name you all and the reasons for why you mean so much to me, but I’m not sure if even the mighty internet has that much space on it.

2. Tara- You drive me crazy and keep me sane at the same time. I’m thankful for having our paths cross when they did.

1. Mom- Just because.

Your turn.
Much Love,
K
Merry Christmas! Stay safe!
