Miss me?
My long weekend was full of friends…and shopping. Lots of friends and shopping at that.
I had actually planned on making an impromptu trip to the beach. However, my parents went out of town to a family reunion and their animals had to be fed. I could have just asked the roomie to do it for me, but uh…what fun is it to go to the beach by yourself?
So instead, I stayed around town. Hung out with my best friend Meche, went to a party and caused a raucous. Like the good ol’ days…which were what,all of 5 years ago. Hehe.

Funny Story:
As myself and Meche were leaving said party we were walking along the extremely dark sidewalk towards her car. Obviously being women, we were very observant of our surroundings. Suddenly we heard someone running. It was so dark at first it was impossible to tell which way the running was coming from. Deductive reasoning placed the noise behind us, approaching quickly. My instant thought, I have to save Meche. She has two children to care for, I have nothing to lose. (I’m such a hero, I know. Hehe)
So I pushed her.
To give you all a better understanding of this push. Where we happened to be walking there was a steep hill on her side. I figured if I pushed her down the hill she could get up to run for help while the attacker would be busy with me.
The problem with my theory is that I did not inform Meche of this. So when I pushed her, she grabbed my leg and nearly took me with her. But being that I had the element of leverage (not the mention a way higher weight) I was able to steady us before we both stumbled down the hill. Just in time to look up and see some young guy running to a car and getting in the passenger side.
That’s right folks, we freaked out over a guy trying to not get left behind. Funny now, not then.
Of course as we calmed down, and began to reflect it occurred to me that my plan really wouldn’t have worked, especially since she she was the one with a weapon.
But it was a nice thought, right?
